PT Radiant Bukit Barisan
E&P (RBB) had on June 30 spudded the Sinamar-3 well in the South West Bukit
Parisan PSC in West Sumatra.
West Sumatra Governor
Irwan Prayitno recenlty said that the operator has found gas reserves at the
Sinamar-1 and 2, which pending approval from the upstream oil and gas authority
SKK Migas, to be used for a 120 MW power plant.
He added that the operator
of the block plans to drill two other wells this year, the South Sinamar-2 and
Ganesha-1.
The South West Bukit
Barisan block was awarded to the consortium of PT Radiant Utama Barisan E&P
(51 percent, operator) and PC (SKR) International Ltd (49 percent) on Nov. 13,
2008.
