In order to reduce fuel
oil usage as well as strengthening the reliability of the electricity system in
Kalimantan and Java-Bali, PLN is opening the bidding of two IPP (Independent
Power Producer) is included in the Program of 35,000 MW.
Both projects are non-fuel
West Kalimantan-2 steam power plant (2 x 100 MW) and gas engine power
plant/Combined Cycle power plant of Peaker Java-Bali 4 (1 x 450 W).
West Kalimantan-2 power
plant development is PLN effort to reduce the cost of production and improve
the reliability of the system in the province. Based on Electricity Supply
Business Plan 2016-2025, installed capacity of power plants in West Kalimantan
in 2015 amounted to 228 MW.
