152 KM OF TOTAL 342 KM RAJA AMPAT RING ROAD ON WORKING

The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing is completing the construction of Ring Road in Raja Ampat, West Papua, along 342 kilometers. "It breaks 152 kilometers, and 30 kilometers have been paved," said Minister of Public Works Basoeki Hadimoeljono.
Basoeki, who was on a working visit to Raja Ampat, said that this road will be developed gradually. The goal is to connect the tourist areas in Raja Ampat.

In addition to building roads, Basoeki said, the government will fix the Waisai Port. He considered this area must be addressed because it serves as the entrance area of international travel. In Pianemo, one of the coral islands in Raja Ampat, the Ministry of Public Works is planning to organize support facilities such as toilets and street vendors place.

Earlier, Minister Basoeki review the construction of 50 units housing in the Teluk Mayalibit District, Kampung Warsambin, Raja Ampat. These houses will be distributed free to poor people such as fishermen and farmers.

Project undertaken by PT Talago Raya have cost around Rp 9.6 billion from the State Budget 2016. "The construction of the house special is scheduled for completion in November."
