Tangerang Regency Government has set up a land area of 1,000 hectares
for the expansion of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Tangerang. The land
area of 200 hectares more than the demand of PT Angkasa Pura II. "We will
add to the buffer," said Ahmed Zaki Iskandar Tangerang Regent.
The plan, the airport will be expanded from 1,800 hectares to 2,800
hectares. Because, up to 10 years, will be built trains airports, runways 3,
and Terminal 4. "The consideration is far ahead," said Zaki.
Land acquisition includes five villages in the Teluknaga and Kosambi
district, namely Teluk Naga, Bojong Renged, Kebon Cau, Rawa Rengas, and Rawa
Burung. "About 20 thousand people will be removed from village," said
Zaki.
Previously, Banten Governor Rano Karno said the land acquisition for the
airport expansion should be completed as soon as possible. He targets, by 2017,
Runway 3 can already be built. "Banten is no longer the buffer, but the
buffer capital of the country," he said.
Corporate Secretary of PT Angkasa Pura II, Agus Haryadi, said it had
filed a revision changes the spatial airports to Tangerang Regency Government.
Agus said the Soekarno-Hatta airport require 800-1,000 hectares of land.
According to Agus, Angkasa Pura is currently being focused on land acquisition
of 200 hectares with a value of around Rp 2 trillion for the construction of
Runway 3.
