The process of preparation for the construction of New Yogyakarta International Airport (NYIA) continues. PT Angkasa Pura I as the initiator of this project confirms, the project's construction of NYIA the national projects and in the implementation escorted straight by the Yogyakarta High Court.

Project Manager of NYIA R Sujiastono said NYIA construction project will start immediately when the payment has been completed and the National Land Agency (BPN) presented the results of the compensation process. President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) wants implementation to groundbreaking of the NYIA project was implemented mid-October 2016.

"However, it depends on the National Land Agency. If the delivery of outputs fast payouts, schedules can be implemented groundbreaking mid-October," said Sujiastono.

Land that will be released in the permit determination of the location Yogyakarta governor there are at least 645 hectares (ha).
