SUPRATMAN OVERPASS BUILT

After the Antapani overpass the predicted completion this December, Bandung City Government will continue to build Supratman overpass connecting Road of Jakarta and Road of Supratman. In contrast to the Antapani overpass majority the financed central government, the Supratman overpass will be funded local budget of Bandung.

Secretary of the Department of Bina Marga and Irrigation Bandung Agoes Sjafroedin said, there are two things that make the Supratman overpass prioritized. "There was a traffic jam because of the number of vehicles of housing there. In addition, to address the impact on the construction of Antapani overpass," said Agoes.

"We do not yet know how the budget, is being finalized its DED (detailed engineering design), targeted in December is completed," he said.

As an illustration, a Antapani overpass whose length is about 300 meters spent Rp 33.5 billion. The budget was cheaper by 50 per cent since its construction using corrugated mortar technology, which is a technology combination of Research and Development Center for Roads and Bridges Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing, with Posco Steel Korea.
