The Ministry of Public
Works and Public Housing will build a
drinking water supply system (SPAM) as many as 290,000 household connections
(SR) in 150 cities/counties in the next year. The construction costs of water
infrastructure is allocated Rp 1 trillion from pure rupiah and the Australian
Government grant.
"This step is to
realize the target 100-0-100 program, ie 100% availability of drinking water,
0% slums, and 100% sanitation and drainage facilities in the whole of
Indonesia," said the Director of Integration Infrastructure
Settlements Directorate General of Cipta
Karya Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing Dwityo A Soeranto.
He said, in addition to
building drinking water supply system, it also facilitates cooperation between
district/city governments and companies in building the infrastructure of
settlements. Until now there are six companies interested in building the
infrastructure of settlements in seven districts/cities with a value of Rp 108
billion.
With the allocation of
funds amounting to Rp 17.9 trillion in 2017, the Directorate General of Cipta
Karya has focused strategic activities among other things, the development of
regional drinking water supply system in seven regions, drinking water supply
system in 11 special assistance, drinking water supply system of small
islands/outer and fishing port in three locations. In addition, construction
of regional landfill in the three
regions and Regional Installation of Waste Water Management in the two regions,
supporting 10 National Tourism Strategic Area, supporting regional fishing
villages in 11 regions, settlement infrastructure in nine border region, and
the handling area of slums in 30 districts / cities.
