BANTEN TO BUILD PORTS

Banten Provincial Government together Pelindo II will prepare the development of several ports for loading and unloading of goods for the purposes of exports and imports, the impact can reduce traffic density in Jakarta, and add jobs for the people of Banten.

Banten Governor Rano Karno after an audience with PT Pelindo II in Serang, said the current condition of the port of Tanjung Priok is already very crowded with the activities of loading and unloading of goods.

With the opening of the development of ports in Banten for exports and imports, it will reduce traffic density that occurs in Jakarta. "If you can send through the port of Banten, the traffic density of Jakarta has also helped," said Rano.

He said there are three ports that were targeted to be developed, including Ciwandan Port, the Port in the Krakatau Industrial Estate Cilegon (KIEC), and Indah Kiat Port. Three ports are located in the city of Cilegon.
