PT PJB already has strong contribution for the supply of electricity in
Indonesia as follows:
- Asset Owner of 6 large scale Generation Units with a total installed capacity of 6.981 MW, spreading throughout Java Island.
- O&M services provider including through its subsidiary PT PJB Services (PJBS) and by setting up Joint Venture O&M Company with total capacity of 6,594 MW, spreading across 19 locations in Indonesia.
- IPP Developer with total capacity of 1,660 MW through 3 Joint Venture Companies in Indonesia.
- EPC Contractor through its subsidiary PT Rekadaya Elektrika (RE) with total capacity of 165 MW in 8 locations across Indonesia.
- Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Services Provider for various power plants in Indonesia.
- Spare parts provider for "Fast Track Program-1 (FTP-l)" power plants with total capacity of 7,520 MW.
Now, in order to contribute in Government of Republic Indonesia's
program in developing 35.000 MW new power plants across Indonesia (35 GW
Program), PT PJB through its subsidiary company PT PJB Investasi (PJBI) is in
process of developing Ultra Super Critical (USC) Coal Fired Steam Power Plant
Jawa 7 with capacity 2 x 1. 000 MW located in Serang, Baten, Java (CFSPP Jawa 7
Project). This project will be the largest coal fired power plant in Indonesia
using USC boiler technology.
In developing CFSPP Jawa 7 Project, PT PJB cooperate with China Shenhua
Energy Company Limited (Shenhua) established an Independent Power Producer
(IPP) company named PT Shenhua Guohua Pembangkitan Jawa Bali (PT SGPJB). Power
Purchase Agreement (PPA) between PT PLN and PT SGPJB has been signed in
December 2015.
With synergy of capabilities and experiences between PT PJB and Shenhua,
PT SGPJB is targeted to complete construction and achieve Commercial Operation
Date (COD) of CFSPP Jawa 7 Project in 2019/2020 with 25 years BOOT scheme.

CFSPP Jawa 7 project will use Ultra Super Critical (USC) Boiler
Technology that will provide improved efficiency, reduced emissions, and lower
fuel costs.
1. Improved Efficiency
USC boilers' ability to operate at much higher pressures and
temperatures than subcritical or super critical boilers translates into
noticeably better efficiency ratings.
As a benchmark, the rating given by MIT "The Future of Coal"
study is also included.

2. Reduced Emissions
Improved plant efficiency also translates into Clean Technology that
deliver reduced emissions, particularly of C02 and mercury, which are very
important for environmental sustainability.
3. Lower Fuel Costs
For fossil fuel-fired plants, fuel represents the largest operating
cost. Improved plant efficiency also trans-late into reducing the amount and
cost of fuel needed to yield the requisite energy.
