AIRNAV BALIKPAPAN INVESTMENTS RP 59 BILLION

AirNav Indonesia disbursed investment of Rp 59 billion for the rejuvenation of a number instrument flight safety at Sepinggan airport, Balikpapan, East Kalimantan.

General Manager of AirNav Indonesia Balikpapan, Yusfan Ulya, when it was found to explain the value of investments that rains including the tower development plan control set at Rp 40 billion already in works auction process.

"The condition of the tower is now lower than new terminals (airports). So we can not see the whole maneuvering aircraft in the airport area. For the construction of the tower, the investment value reached Rp 40 billion. Now the auction process and next year have immediately created new tower," said Yusfan.

Of the total value of investment being poured, described Yusfan, it also has made the replacement of Instrument Landing System (ILS) navigational tools at Sepinggan airport, Balikpapan Rp 7.5 billion. The tool is now replaced the old instrument VOR obsolete.

With the renovation, the pilot will land at Sepinggan airport will be made easier when landing. Especially when it is happening smog from forest fires and other consequences that are not desired.
