4 DDT PROJECT TARGETED FOR COMPLETION IN 2019

Directorate General of Railways Ministry of Transportation is targeting completion of the addition of double-double track or DDT in early 2019. Currently, the project continues to speed up.

"The land acquisition of Bekasi City and  Regency relative has been completed," said Head of Public Relations of the Ministry of Transportation General Directorate of Railways, Joice Hutajulu.

He said the Ministry of Transportation work on four packages Manggarai-Cikarang DDT project, namely Manggarai-Jatinegara trace (one package), Jatinegara-Bekasi (two packages), and Jakarta-Cikarang (one package).

"Package A construction of railways facilities for Manggarai-Jatinegara the physical construction progress is already 11%, Package B2 (1) the modernization of railways facilities for Jatinegara-Bekasi signing of the contract, Package B1 construction of railways facilities to Bekasi-Cikarang about nearly 70%, and Discount B2 (2) the construction of DDT for Jatinegara-Bekasi is still ongoing, "he said.

These four packages, he continued, is done simultaneously.

There are several new stations are being built along the Bekasi-Cikarang. Among them, East Bekasi Station, Arenjaya Village and Cibitung Metland Station (built by the developer PT Metrtopolitan Land).

Existing stations will be revitalized with more modern concepts such as Cibitung Station and Cikarang station.
