WINNERS OF JAVA 1 COMBINED CYCLE POWER PLANT TENDER

PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) will announce the tender winner independent power producer (IPP) of Java 1 combined cycle power plant (power plant) with a capacity of 2x800 megawatts (MW) next month. SOE was to make sure all four consortia bidders have equal chances.

PLN schedule tender winner's name out in four weeks. "To be announced the final, of the four consortium that goes all the priority, not just one or Japan," said Procurement Director of PLN Iwan Supangkat Pengadain.

Fourth bidders Java 1 combined cycle power plant project includes, first, Indonesian and Japanese consortium consisting of PT Pembangkitan  Jawa Bali-PT Rukun Raharja Tbk with Mitsubishi Corp.- JERA Co., Inc.

Second, Indonesia and Singapore consortium. Companies involved in the consortium are PT Adaro Energy Tbk and Sembcorp Utilities Pte. Ltd.

Third, Indonesia and Japan consortium. PT Pertamina (Persero) venture with Marubeni Corporation-Sojitz Corporation.

Lastly, the fourth, the consortium of Indonesia, South Korea and Qatar. Vice Indonesia are two subsidiary PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk, PT Medco Power Generation Indonesia and PT Medco Power Indonesia. While the representatives of South Korea and Qatar respectively, are Korea Electric Power Corporation (Kepco) and Nebras Power.
