TRANSJAKARTA BUY SCANIA BUS 300 UNIT

PT Transportation Jakarta (Transjakarta) plans to buy as many as 300 types of single buses large sized (maxi) with the brand Scania, but local production.

"We will buy as much as 300 maxi single bus brand Scania. This bus procurement will be done gradually until April 2017," said President Director of PT Transjakarta Budi Kaliwono.

According to him, until November 2016, PT Transjakarta recently purchased 100 units buses. Price per one bus branded Scania was Rp 2.5 billion. Meanwhile, length is 13.5 meters.

Budi said the bus size will be longer than the single bus in general. "The interior is also made slightly different from the previous Transjakarta bus," said Budi.

He said that the addition of hundreds unit new bus is done solely to improve services to passengers. Targeted, Transjakarta has as many as 2,500 units of buses to serve passengers on all routes.

"Until now, we had 1,000 buses. We are targeting a total of bus can reach 2,500 units.
