PT PLN stated that coal
consumption in 2016 will reach around 60 million tons.
PLN’s Corporate Planning
Director, Nicke Widyawati told, that in 2015 the total consumption of coal at
all PLN’s coal-fired power plant reached about 48.9 million tons, compared to
2014’s total consumption around 44.6 million tons.
“There was an increase of
about 4.3 million ton in 2015 compared to 2014, and in 2016 we predict there
will be an increase of around eight to nine million ton as there will be
several coal-fired power plants to be on stream,” Nicke said.
