PALAPA RING RP 975 BILLION CENTRAL PACKAGE COMPLETION IN QUARTER I-2018

The construction of the Palapa Ring Central Package starts. The winner of this package, the consortium of PT LEN Telekomunikasi Indonesia, has received funds from several parties, namely PT Indonesia Infrastruktur Finance (IFF), Bank Negara Indonesia and PT Sarana Multi Infrastructure syndicated loan with a total fund of Rp 975 billion.

Raden admitted, it deliberately did not choose a cable of the country due to the specifications required in this project have not been matched. In addition, the price of the domestic optical cable is more expensive.

Domestic manufacturers can not meet because LEN want optic cable in the Central Packages that can last up to 15 years. Moreover, LEN plans to use fiber-optic cables that no connection.

In order to smoothly, it will survey the condition of the track area of the fiber optic cable. Because the trajectory of these cables will pass Bunaken. "We need to guard a point near Bunaken, because there is no naval mines, the rest of the war of independence," he added.

PT LEN Telekomunikasi Indonesia consortium consisting of PT LEN Industri (51%), PT Teknologi Riset Global Investama (39%), PT. Multi Kontrol Nusantara (5%), and PT. Bina Nusantara Perkasa (5%).
