Inpex Corporation and Shell is still committed to
developing the Abadi field, Masela block in Maluku, although up to now they
have not submitted a revised plan of development after the change of
development scheme. The government has responded to Inpex requests related to
the development of Masela Block, but the government admits that they conduct a
study. While Shell Indonesia remains committed to developing Masela Block with
intense communication so that the project can continue as economics. On the block,
Inpex master the participation shares of 65% and is the operator. The rest, 35%
owned by Shell.
