PT PLN
(Persero) completed the financial closing phase of Java 2 Combined Cycle Power
Plant project. The Company obtained loan commitments from the Japan Bank for
International Cooperation (JBIC) amounting to US$ 310 million (more than Rp 4
trillion), Besides, PLN also use internal funds amounting to US$ 127 million
(approximately Rp 1.7 trillion). Total value of the Java 2 project is US$ 437
million (approximately Rp 5.7 trillion). The project capacity of 800 megawatts
(MW) is initiated by cooperating with Mitsubishi PLN and PT Wasamitra
Engineering with the engineering procurement construction scheme. Acceleration
of financial closing makes Java 2 Combined Cycle Power Plant construction could
begin at the end of this year. Furthermore, the operation of power plant can be
done by 2019.
