EXTENSION OF ROKAN BLOCKS REVIEWED BY GOVERNMENT

The government is still reviewing the proposal submitted by PT Chevron Pacific Indonesia against the contract extension of Rokan Block in Riau, which will expire in 2021. This is a filing extension for the second time for Rokan Block by Chevron. Based on Ministerial Decree No. 15/2015 on Oil and Gas Working Area Contract Expiration, the approval of a contract extension to consider several factors, such as the potential reserves of oil or natural gas in the working area, performance of contractor cooperation contract and the magnitude of benefit as much as for the state and others. On the other hand, Pertamina also interested to  manage Rokan Block after termination.
