INCREASED DEMAND FOR SHIP IN THE NEXT 5 YEARS ACHIEVE RP 85 TRILLION

Following the declaration of the government's determination to make Indonesia as the country's maritime axis of the world, demand for ships in the country increased, reaching up to Rp 85 trillion over the next five years. Demand ship was among others came from PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero), which plans to buy 60 new ships in the next 5 years with a value of around Rp 2 trillion. Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (MMAF) targets the procurement of 1,719 fishing ship in various sizes with a total budget of Rp 900 billion. Directorate of Sea and Coastal Guard Unit  Ministry of Transportation budgeted Rp 75 trillion to build 30 patrol ship class I. PT Pertamina (Persero) will order eight general purpose (GP) ships, the price of the ship Rp 2.7 trillion. While PT PAL received orders ship types Missile Destroyer Escort  Frigate 10514 of the Ministry of Defense. Ship production is done in cooperation with Damen Schelde Naval Shipbuilding (DSNs) from the Netherlands. These ships total budget of about US$ 350 million or equivalent to Rp 4.67 trillion.
