YOGYA-MAGELANG RAILWAY, MoT SELECT DEVELOP NEW ROUTES

The Ministry of Transportation plans to build new railway lines cross Yogyakarta-Magelang length of 40 km at an estimated cost of Rp 6 trillion from the state budget and private. Construction of a new railway line of Yogyakarta-Magelang aimed to supporting the accessibility to the tourist destinations of government priority is Borubudur Temple and is expected to increase tourist arrivals to 5 million people per year into the area.
