The government
said supplies of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in 2017-2018 will still be
excessive or above the national needs. The Government noted are each excess
supply about 60 cargoes of LNG in 2017 and 2018. Oversupply occurs in Badak LNG
Refinery in Bontang, East Kalimantan and Tangguh refinery in Teluk Bintuni,
Papua. But with this oversupply, the government will not give permission to
import LNG in 2017 and 2018.
