PLN WILLING TO BUY ELECTRICITY SOUTH SUMATRA 8 POWER PLANT MORE EXPENSIVE

PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) and PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk. has not received agreement in the South Sumatra 8 Steam Power Plant project. PLN willing to buy electricity from power plants located in the South Sumatra at a higher rate with terms of coal-based generation capacity was converted into a 4x300 megawatt (MW) of 2x600 MW initial plan. The Company requested the developer namely PTBA to change the capacity South Sumatra 8 due to the immature state of the transmission network built by PLN. With the reversal of the capacity will affect the investment costs of the developer. Therefore, PLN is willing to increase the price of electricity of US$ 0.5 per kilowatt hour (kWh) from the initial price.
