MINISTRY OF PUBLIC WORKS RP 1 TRILLION BUILD DRINKING WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM

The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing will build new drinking water supply system, next year, to 290,000 housing units will be spread over 150 districts / cities.

Minister of Public Works and Public Housing  Basuki Hadimuljono said drinking water supply system development funds taken from the State Budget (APBN) and grants from Australia. "The allocated Rp 1 trillion," he said.

Director of Infrastructure Integration Directorate General of Cipta Karya Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing Dwityo Akoro Soeranto added, in addition to building drinking water supply system, Ministry of Public Works will facilitate cooperation between the district / city governments and companies to build the infrastructure of settlements.

In the State Budget Draft of 2017 budget the government allocated public housing and facilities functions of Rp 32.77 trillion.

Some of the policies that will be taken include improving access to low income households to new affordable housing and to improve access to drinking water and proper sanitation.
