PT ABM Investama Tbk
(ABMM) through its subsidiary, PT Sumberdaya Sewatama, targeting power plant
tender of the Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) with a total capacity of 600-700
megawatts (MW) this year.
The participation of the
project tender part of the company's target for the construction of power
plants with a total capacity totaled 1,750 MW by 2020.
President Director and
Chief Executice Officer (CEO) of Sumberdaya Sewatama Yovie Prayadi said, the
company is interested in bidding for the construction of the power plant
adjacent to the coal mine of ABM Investama. In addition, the company aims to
tenders electricity in locations Sewatama which have been in operation.
Especially in Sumatra and East Indonesia, "he said.
However, Yovie has not
been willing to disclose any project tenders are being followed by the company.
Currently, Sewatama is waiting bidding process with a capacity of 2x200 MW
power plant in Sumatra. Company called pretty close to the project.
The consortium is claiming
the company will require funding of up to US$ 600 million to build the project.
Foreign Partner is responsible for finding the source of funds from the country
of export financing.
For information, ABM
Investama has coal mines in the province of Aceh and South Kalimantan through
PT Reswari Minergi Hartama. The company has total coal reserves of 221 million
tons and coal resources as much as 561 million tons.
ABM Investama's plans to build
a power plant with a capacity of 1,750 megawatts (MW) by 2020. Construction is
called to spend up to US$ 2.6 billion.
